How to file a complaint

Here you can submit complaints and report suspected irregularities regarding Save the Orangutan and its projects, including concerns regarding Save the Orangutan's partners.

We divide complaints into two categories:
- Complaints about internal matters in Save the Orangutan and/or its managers and employees.
- Complaints about Save the Orangutan's efforts both locally and abroad, including the partners, managers and employees who participate in the work with these efforts.

If you wish to remain anonymous, simply refrain from filling in the fields with email and telephone, and provide an anonymous nickname.

Please note, however, that if you do not provide an email address, we cannot send status or decisions back to you. You may create a new email address that is used for contact in relation to your complaint or suspicion.

The submitted complaint or concern will be treated confidentially but will, for technical reasons, be available to Save the Orangutan's website managers. They are subject to confidentiality.

We will save your submitted form and information as long as it is relevant. We store it securely and only relevant managers will have access to it. We will delete it again according to our general GDPR and consent guidelines. Read our privacy policy here.

Complaints procedure

When we receive your complaint or suspicion, it will be forwarded to the relevant people within the organization. They will then review the case and take the necessary steps to clarify and resolve the case. If you have provided contact information, you will be kept up to date on the case and its development.
